Chairman of UPSIGN Professor Jawwad Darr, hosted this interactive webinar in association with Young Professionals Society (YPS).
It was an opportunity where Professor Darr shared his unique experiences and insights into academia. Not only did he speak candidly but gave advice to other British Pakistanis to deal with the different sets of opportunities and challenges which are faced on a regular basis.
He highlighted the changes which he went through, and which are currently happening, especially as now university education has had to adapt due to COVID-19.

Get a mentor – take the opportunity to network and find a mentor where possible. Someone who will be able to guide you through the process or provide a different viewpoint.

Be confident – speak and highlight your success and achievements.

Develop yourself – look at where you can improve and take steps towards these.
