WORLD FOOD DAY: GROW, NOURISH & SUSTAIN TOGETHER

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, the food system was already under immense pressure from climate change causing the depletion of natural resources, soil degradation, water shortages and increasing threat from invasive species (pests) and diseases. In addition, new varieties have been found to be low in trace elements & essential minerals having an impact on ecosystems, animal and human health.

This webinar highlighted the need for taking immediate action to protect our food system as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Development of a resilient and holistic food system is key to fight hunger, improving both quality and quantity of food produced.
