Madiha is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK and works at University College London, UK. Her profile includes working on regional, national and international projects on education, career development, women in leadership and support for families.
She has a varied role at UCL which includes managing the student life cycle as well as working for a women’s network for gender equality. She sits on several working groups including the Gender Equality Committee, Springboard for Women committee and UCL Athena Forum. She also co-leads the university wide initiative of Athena Swan which is an award in recognition of the university’s commitment to advancing women's careers in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM).
Madiha is also the founder and chair of UCL Parents And Carers Together (PACT) Network for which, she has won the prestigious UCL Excellence Award for showing exceptional leadership skills in supporting parents at UCL.
She completed her Masters degree from UCL Institute of Education in 2011 specialising in Education, Gender & International Development.

Pakistan Related Activities
Madiha is the lead for education and capacity building for Pakistani youth. The main aim of the group is to speed up gender equality by providing training opportunities, platforms for discussions and by sharing best practice.
Madiha works as a consultant for a project funded by the British Council and Higher Education Commission Pakistan which focuses on introducing the concept of inclusive education in classroom settings through the use of occupational therapy. As part of this project, a collaboration between two international universities (UCL and Brunel) and local partners in Pakistan was developed.
She is a visiting alumni speaker at APCOMS (Pakistan) where she delivers trainings on career development, interview techniques, presentation skills, academic writing, etc.
She is also working with Training Institute for Mentors Excellence (Pakistan) to design and develop mentoring schemes. In addition, she is also delivering trainings on women in leadership, women in academia, family wellbeing, mental health and work-life balance.
